As the first point of contact for people reaching out to ACEFSOM, I care deeply about offering a warm welcome. I like to listen to and support others; it truly makes me happy to see people regain control over their lives! ACEFSOM and I have shared values and favour an empowerment-based approach. I work in the community sector first and foremost because of my values. Even after 20 years at ACEF, I am constantly learning in my role as budget advisor. I work directly with people to tackle the root causes of problems and find the best solutions. I work WITH people; I don\u2019t impose my perspective on them. I accept people as they are, without judgment. I\u2019m patient so that people can progress at their own pace, and I earn people\u2019s trust through my human touch. With more than 30 years\u2019 experience in NPO management, I have been the Coordinator at ACEFSOM since 2009. My role is to make sure that each employee offers the services and tools that best meet the needs of the citizens they\u2019re assisting. After exploring various environments \u2014 private, public and community \u2014 I decided to work for an organization largely because they address the lack of activities and services for the most vulnerable people. At our ACEF, I like how each employee participates in the development of the organization and that each person is a stakeholder in it. We can truly make a difference.<\/p>\n
